Over the years, we’ve seen many top Christmas toys become popular. That’s not what we’re concerned with today. Often, these toys had already been popular before Christmas came around. There are tons of memorable toys we can look back on. The marketing juggernauts of toy companies propelled many of these toys to enormous success. No would dispute that these are the top Christmas toys of this year and years past.
Created in Southern California, Bratz dolls are immensely popular and are top Christmas toys. Bratz dolls have very far-out faces. A Bratz film is in the works. The creator of Bratz dolls, Carter Bryant, was sued successfully for $100 million dollars in a court for creating Bratz dolls while working at Mattel. The Barbie line is the one doll that dominates Bratz. Bratz have been able to take a definite chunk out of the Barbie success. Some believe that this is only the beginning. Barbies are not selling as well as Mattel would like. Bratz dolls are able to sing Christmas songs. Many believe the Bratz dolls are edgier than Barbies. But be that as it may, Barbies are still very much loved - Barbie Princess Liana Doll is an example of a reason why.
There’s no doubt that Barbies will always be top Christmas toys. Mattel marketed the dolls after they were created. Once they were created, there was no stopping the Barbie dolls. Barbie has branched out into every realm imaginable. Barbie inhabits all different kinds of occupations. The doll was named after the creator’s daughter. The first Barbie doll, jointly designed by Jack Ryan and Ruth Handler, was given to Ruth’s daughter, Barbara. Now that is one heck of a mom!
G.I. Joe is one of the best Christmas toys for boys that young boys have ever played with. There are four types of G.I. Joes – one for the air force, navy, army, and marines. It was GI Joe who inspired the first use of the phrase action figure. GI Joe was originally 12 inches tall – incredible! However, the toymakers decided it would be best if GI Joe was smaller. The shorter Joes are the toys that kids know and love today. There have been many permutations of the G.I. Joe lineup like G.I. Jane, Navajo Code Talker, Cobra, Snake-Eyes, Stalker, Gung-Ho, Cobra Commander, Destroy/Destroyer, Storm Shadow, and more. No one doubts that Joes have a place amongst the top Christmas toys. It was the American WWII soldier that inspired the toys.
Everyone agrees that many of the toys on the list of top Christmas toys are great ones.
