What should a mother look for when upgrading from your babies crib to a toddler bed.
Deciding on the right bed for your toddler may be difficult depending on your toddlers current stage.
If your toddler you find is not ready for the full freedom of getting up and down out of bed on their own while you are sleeping you may want to step up to a bed with built in gates you can bring up and put down. This will allow you to be able to sleep comfortably knowing your toddler is safe in bed but also financially save you from having to go out and buy a bar less bed in the future.
Of course if your toddler is already potty trained and needs that freedom, then a standard bed is the best way to go. Make sure the bed is not raised too high so your child will not hurt themselves if they seem to roll themselves off the bed in the middle of the night.
If you have more then one child and one is older then the other to an age where one of your children can safely manoeuvre his or herself up and down out of bed a bunk bed set might be ideal, these can come in all crazy styles some with built in toys and all, and can be changed around for your toddlers safety.
Always make sure in self assembly beds and bed frames with bars that the spaces are not far apart enough to where your toddler could get stuck between the bars.
