Baby Toys
When choosing baby toys, it is often quite challenging to find toys that are safe for babies to play with. One thing that can make a toy dangerous if a part is able to come right off the toy.
For instance if a part on a toy pops right off without much effort, it is a choking hazard and therefore a dangerous toy. Toys that have cords on them are also dangerous because cords can cause the child to strangle them self. This type of toy is fine for the appropriate age. Another thing to consider are baby toys with batteries that can easily pop out since babies may put them in their mouth.
Look for baby toys that have the type of batteries that are enclosed with a screwed-in cover. You should also make sure that the screw stays in place and is tightened at all times. When determining safe baby toys, you should also check to see if there are any sharp edges on the toy.
To check if a toy is too small for your baby to play with, you can do a simple choke hazard test. Using a toilet paper roll, simply put the baby toy that you are checking inside of it. If it fits entirely into the hole then it is too small for children 3 years and younger. If it does not fit all the way inside the toilet paper roll the toy should be big enough for your baby to play with. Check out our reviews of the best and safest baby toys around.
